Mattresses are Sperrgut in Zurich — too bulky for a Züri-Sack and awkward to drag to a Recyclinghof. We collect singles, doubles, foam, latex, and boxsprings from inside the property and route them through certified recycling.
An ERZ Sperrgutmarke is about CHF 9 per piece, with a 25 kg limit and kerbside placement by 7 am on weekdays. A typical double mattress often needs two markers plus your own carrying. If you need upstairs pickup, weekends, or a short deadline, a booked collection is the simpler route.
What we collect
Mattresses and bed bases of all sizes for homes, hotels, and rental properties. Bulk quantities can be quoted as a scheduled commercial pickup.
Boxspring beds
Bases and mattresses in one visit. We disassemble standard frames on site and route springs, upholstery, and foam separately.
Foam and latex mattresses
Polyurethane foam and latex that cannot go through ordinary Sperrgut streams. Foam typically goes to thermal recovery at Hagenholz; latex to specialist polymer processors.
IKEA and flat-pack mattresses
All common retail models regardless of brand. Brand labels do not change pricing or recycling routing.
Toppers and bed bases
Mattress toppers, slatted frames, and matching bases collected with the mattress when needed.
Hotel and rental bulk
Scheduled clearances for hotels, furnished flats, and property managers. Volume pricing for larger batches.

Same-day if you contact us by midday, next-day, or a planned move-out date. Seven days a week across the city, subject to capacity.

The team arrives, protects walls and door frames, and carries the mattress from your room to the vehicle. No kerbside wait for you.

Separate and recycle
Steel springs to scrap metal, foam toward Hagenholz thermal recovery, fabrics and natural materials to licensed processors. Landfill is not the default.
Fixed-price quotes
You receive a written price before the team arrives. Photos, postcode, floor, and lift access are what we need for an accurate quote.
- On this service, quotes for a single mattress at ground level start from CHF 80.
- A typical double mattress on an upper floor without a lift is often CHF 100–140.
- A complete boxspring set starts from CHF 140, with standard-frame dismantling included on request.
- Carrying from upper floors is included in the quote as a CHF 5–10 per-floor surcharge — never added on the day. ERZ Sperrgutmarke is about CHF 9 per piece and does not include carry-out from the room.
If you can transport a mattress under 25 kg yourself, free Recyclinghof drop-off at Hagenholz or Wolfswinkel can be cheaper. We say so when that is the case.

What is the difference between ERZ Sperrgutmarke and disposal.ch?
ERZ needs a Sperrgutmarke (about CHF 9 per item, max 25 kg), three working days’ notice, and kerbside placement by 7 am — weekdays only. We collect from your room, any floor, same-day or next-day, including weekends. Free Recyclinghof drop-off remains an option if you have a vehicle.
Can you collect a boxspring bed as well as the mattress?
Yes. Bases and mattresses go in one visit. Disassembly of standard frames is available on request at no extra charge. Complete boxspring sets start from CHF 140.
Are mattresses recycled or sent to landfill?
They go through certified Swiss channels. Steel springs to scrap metal, foam to Hagenholz for thermal recovery, natural materials to appropriate processors. Landfill is not our default route.
How quickly can you collect my mattress in Zürich?
Same-day if you contact us by midday. Next-day is available seven days a week. During January–March move-outs and May–June renovations, early booking helps secure your slot.
Do I need to take my mattress to the ERZ Recyclinghof myself?
Not with us — we collect from the property. If you prefer the free ERZ option and have transport, Hagenholz (Kreis 12) or Wolfswinkel (Kreis 11) are common drop-offs.
Do you collect mattresses from hotels and rentals in bulk?
Yes. Scheduled bulk collections for hotels, furnished flats, and property managers. Volume pricing from five or more mattresses. Early-morning slots available to limit guest disruption.
Can I combine mattress disposal with clearance and cleaning?
Yes. Mattress pickup can be booked with apartment or overall clearance, and handover cleaning through Züriclean, as one sequence. Ask for a combined quote by WhatsApp or the booking form.
